Sooo oddly enough after my junior year of college I went up to DC to intern for Rep. Rick Allen. On the first day of my internship I arrive at the Congressman’s office door and Zach opens the door.. The whole summer I thought he was the cutest/sweetest guy but I was obviously an intern so I knew that would never happen haha. I never thought he would like me haha but I may have picked up on something when he knew I loved crosswords and made me one for my birthday that summer. But needless to say… nothing ever came of it and I returned back to Athens, GA for my senior year at UGA. Football season came around and it was the weekend UGA played USC (the border bash). I received a text and the name Zach Stokes popped up. Of course my heart fluttered and the text read “Hello, i’ll be in Athens this weekend” and from there we made plans to grab dinner and hung out all night. He then returned to DC and we have talked everyday since then. He asked me out on new years eve of 2021/the eve of 2022.
